Our third project alongside Touring Essentials, the Wingman Armrest is an extension to their growing line of 4x4 products that enhances the touring or overlanding experience. Feeling intimately at home in the iconic Land Cruiser, yet adding value to the experience, the Wingman makes any Land Cruiser without it feels like it’s missing something.

Building on from the success of the Cup Holders we previously designed, The Passenger & The Captain, Touring Essentials had a vision to continue their legacy of creating compelling, and innovative 4x4 products. The Wingman is the result of that vision—a product that upholds the same standards of durability, practicality, and aesthetic appeal that have become synonymous with the Touring Essentials brand. The Wingman’s perfect fit is not just about measurements; it’s about maintaining the rugged yet refined aesthetic that Cruiser owners love, ensuring that the armrest enhances both the look and the comfort of their vehicle. We began by ensuring that every detail, from the curvature of the armrest to precise colour and finish matching, was tailored to the vehicle’s existing design. After meticulous CAD development, iterative prototyping, and material & surface finish selection, together with Touring Essentials we created an armrest that integrates seamlessly behind the door card and into the window, offering a factory-level finish that feels right at home in the Cruiser.
