Action’s Bar Chair family has dominated their market for years, ahead of the pack when it comes to weight and strength. It is used to hold reinforcing mesh and reo bar at a specified height, with the strength for workers to walk on-top. Every few years the design of the bar chair is updated, with each generation exceeding the last. Made from recycled HDPE, this material is far from considered a strong plastic, and recycled plastics are weaker again. However, over the years, our iterative design changes have not only increased strength, but reduced the material required, reduced product weight, and improved stacking for shipping.
These Bar Chairs may be small, but they hold a minimum of 120kg, with some sizes holding up past 200kg. It just goes to show that when it comes to strength, manufacturing, and the value chain, good design is everything! This has reduced costs, saved energy, and saved material, delivering greater value to the consumer, greater margins for the retailer, and a lower environmental footprint. Wins all around.
