Kloud Palette

The Kloud Palette is a visionary product that elevates the daily workflow of beauty professionals. Dienamics partnered with Karina, founder of Kloud Palette, to develop her existing concept into a production-ready design suited to tooling and injection moulding. Balancing durability, flexibility, and comfort, the Kloud Palette sits on the hand like a second skin, conducting warmth for better application while allowing full hand movement. Sleek, light, and available in multiple colourways, it reflects a considered, Australian-designed solution tailored to the needs of modern beauty professionals.

A Revolutionary Design Solution for the Beauty Industry

The Kloud Palette is lightweight, flexible, and comfortable in use, naturally conforming to the hand. Design features such as the contoured border lip, adjustable strap, and ambidextrous fit support a wide range of users and working styles, while maintaining a sleek, minimal profile suited to a high-end consumer product.

Collaboration was central to the development of the Kloud Palette, with Dienamics working closely with Kloud Palette to transform the initial concept, originally developed by 3DTech, into a fully manufacturable, production-ready component. The focus was on achieving efficient, high-quality manufacturing at scale while maintaining the integrity of the original design intent.

Moulding for Hygiene, Performance & Finish

Expert material selection, precise colour matching, and close coordination with packaging designers were key elements of the process, ensuring the final product aligned seamlessly with both functional performance and brand presentation. Dienamics applied its material and moulding expertise to ensure the palette is durable, hygienic, and comfortable in professional use. A naturally latex-free material was selected to prevent bacteria, ensure safety for prolonged skin contact and allow for easy cleaning to maintain makeup hygiene. The result is a premium product optimised for high-volume injection moulding, delivering a high-quality finish and consistent production outcomes.

A primary technical challenge was injection moulding the low-profile soft plastic component while achieving a premium surface finish. To address this, Dienamics conducted mould flow simulations alongside material and additive trials to optimise wall thickness and minimise defect rates. To preserve the minimalist aesthetic and smooth front-face finish, a needle valve hot tip injection system was used on the front surface. This approach ensures that the considered engineering is the silent hero, where the product’s form and function shines front and centre.
